| Stuff Portrait Friday - HO HO HO!!!! |
It's that time of week again when I'm supposed to grab the camera, root around the house, and get some good shots of my stuff. Well, today is my lucky day because I'm home from work, the baby is napping (for the first time today), and my camera batteries are charged. Whoo hoo! Let's begin.
1. Your favorite wrapped present
Hmmm, wrapped present? What's that? There are laws about having any wrapped presents in homes with children under 2 or 3, not sure which. In my parent's case, it was 15. Heh heh. Otherwise the presents mysteriously open themselves when nobody is looking. Case in point:
At least the snowman is happy about it.
So, unfortunately this is what my nephew's presents look like at the moment:
Yes, that buffet range is a present for our 5 year-old nephew. It's top secret, can't tell you what for.
2. Something new you added to your decorations this year
Well, I finally broke down and bought myself a nativity scene. Or what's the new word I learned for it? Oh yeah, creche. I had no idea.
So what if baby Jesus has a webbed neck? It's still not bad for $10.
Okay, I'm not done. Because I went to the Hallmark store a few weeks ago, and this little item called my name, "Crayonz, taaaahhhkkeee meeeee hooooomeee toooo yourrrrr daaaaaaughter!"
Bastard.
It's one of Lauren's favorite things to play with. I can't blame the little dude for the creepy call-out during my shopping spree.
Dakota is all about the piano lounge act. She's such a groupie.
And finally, another newbie for the kiddo. I told Rancito to go pick out a stocking for Lauren while we were at Hobby Lobby because Lauren only has a "Baby's first Christmas" stocking and it's small...and pink...and has a teddy bear head sticking out of it.
Rancito held it up and exclaimed, "Look at all the toys this one will hold! Great, next year I'll ask him to pick another stocking out because Lauren's is too BIG.
3. Your Christmas cards
And finally, you will know just how redneck I really am. Either that or you will revel in my cleverness.
I display my Christmas cards on my kitchen blinds. I started out just buying one of those photo holders and soon realized it maxed out around 12 cards. I decided it was either time for me to buy stock in Christmas card holders or find a better way.
Believe me, this is much better. Bonus points if you can pick out the baby in the picture.
Merry Christmas to you all! |
