Baby Lauren

Wife to husband, Rancito, of 4 years. Mother of one-year old daughter, Lauren, two mini wiener dogs that I refer to as Farkota, and one big mutt named Champ. This is my way of telling Lauren I have loved her since the day I saw her tiny bean body on the ultrasound screen.

Babies Eat Grocery Money
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
If you haven't checked out Grocery Lists.org, you have been missing out. It's absolutely addicting, so much so, that I submitted one of my own lists (#614) that you see above.

I really avoid the grocery store now that we have Lauren. It's not only the teaming billions of germs everywhere, but the fact that I can't get out of Wal-Mart for under $200.

Diapers: $15
Diapers for sitters: $15
Box of wipes: $8
Formula: $23
Formula for sitters: $23
Baby food: $.55/jar * 6 jars/day * 7 days/wk = $23
Peanut butter bon bons: $4

Of course, the PB bon bons are for my snacking pleasure, but it's a necessity. If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

It's amazing how much Lauren consumes for such a little fart. She hasn't eaten anything yet that she spit out or didn't like for that matter. I suppose it's better than worrying over a baby that won't eat anything, but at least those parents don't fret when the dreaded grocery total pops up.

Slowest cashier on planet Earth: "$234.17. Will that be cash, check or charge?"
Momma shops-a-lot: "Wow, that's a lot of money. Can I pay you in peanut butter bon bons, or better yet, dirty diapers?"
